Costanza is a project that is quite personal to me, since it is what I'm always working on when I'm not doing design work...
In short: it's a project that started out as a one-man band where everything was done by me – from writing the first word of the lyrics to recording, mixing and making the artwork and video. Since the beginning of 2022 it is gradually morphing into a full live band. To be continued...

About the artwork: it is still a work in progress, since I'm at the mixing stage of the first EP at the moment, but the social media banners (above and lower left) and single artwork (upper left) are already finished. The artwork of the first single features a photograph of a couple at a dance marathon held in Chicago in 1930 – one of those dance marathons that started in the 1920's in America, where people literally danced 'til they dropped. Those dance marathons could last for days, so I found this photograph quite appropriate for the theme of the song.

That single came out in may 2021 (and is also being remixed again at the moment), at a time when we were slowly coming out of yet another lockdown. Because that lockdown gave me a lot of free time, I decided to make a video clip that turned out to be quite labor-intensive... Partying was strictly forbidden at that time, so I decided to use Adobe After Effects to put myself in some old footage of a new wave party somewhere in Los Angeles in the second half of the 1980's. It turned out that putting yourself in some old, very low quality, underexposed footage is easier said than done... But I am still quite happy with the result, which you can watch below.
